Just a quick post today. I haven't had much to show since my last post. I took about a week break from tatting. But I am working on a project or two right now. I'll try to have a proper post soon. In the meantime, you might want to check out the interview I did for Ancora Crafts. You can find it here. It was really fun, and I'm sure I mentioned some things there that I haven't posted here before. Till next time.
I was really happy that you participated, and even happier that you had some fun with it! Thanks, Jeff!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! I'm happy they showcased so many of your beautiful pieces, and I like how you made sure to emphasize that tatting doesn't have to be just frilly and super-feminine anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to read that your grandmother was so proud of your tatting - mine couldn't tat either, but she taught me how to knit. Embroidery I tried, but failed to learn from my very talented mother, and crochet is a craft which I discovered as an adult - and still enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI love your Windmills mat.
I taught a class of first graders to quilt and I had more boys come back to work on it than girls, I was happy but I think now a days children are not taught any artistic skills and its so fulfilling for anyone to create. The old adage "Idle hands are the devils workshop" seems to still apply today.
ReplyDeleteNice interview. I loved the pictures of your work on the side. So true about the confusion some people have with tatting and tattoos. Great idea about a tatted tattoo! ☺
ReplyDeleteGreat interview and loved all the colourful photos of your work. Neat!
